In addition to providing all types of forklift trucks, from powered pallet trucks to wire-guided systems, Rushlift hires and maintains a wide range of industrial equipment such as sweepers, mobile plants, and lorry loader cranes.

About the role:
To repair and maintain a range of materials handling equipment to a high standard, carry out relevant repairs to ensure maximum reliability and customer uptime.

Role and Responsibility:

  • Agree workload with Depot Manager and Field Operations Manager.
  • Adhere to all workshop procedures as per the Companies instructions.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure that the Depot Manager is fully aware of work progress.
  • Work with the Controllers to clear any outstanding work in progress as necessary.
  • The workshop area must be kept clean at all times and any waste created must be disposed of in the right waste container.
  • Using work tablet/computer, ensure that all relevant parts numbers are given to the Stores when ordering parts.
  • Order all parts using the parts request form within the work tablets/netbooks.
  • Make sure all parts for VOR jobs are ordered before a cut off time of 3.00pm
  • Must be available for all training courses including courses that may require staying away from home overnight.
  • Must be occasionally available to work away from Depot mainly to assist other engineers.
  • Any Depot vehicles must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Any accidents must be reported straight away to the line manager. An accident report form must be filled in as soon as possible.
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced according to manufacturers recommended intervals. This is the sole responsibility of the driver.
What we are looking for:
  • Experience within one of the following; Plant, Access or lifting equipment.
  • Experience with Welding, mechanics, electrics or hydraulics.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team as needed
  • Good understanding of H&S
