RUSHLIFT ENTERS RUSHDEN SOAP BOX DERBY FOR A NOBLE CAUSE

April 15, 2024

Rushlift, a renowned name in the material handling industry, has taken a philanthropic plunge by participating in the annual Rushden Soap Box Derby. Their noble goal is to raise funds for the respected charity, Mind, which they've chosen to support as one of their Charities of 2024.

Harvey, Aaron, and Crispin, the young and dynamic MHE Apprentices at Rushlift, have taken the helm of this thrilling initiative. With the practical knowledge and skills, they've acquired during their apprenticeships so far, they are ready to lead the build for the derby. The Apprentice team will be supported by Hansel Dawson and Alex Mumby, to ensure that all rules, regulations, and health & Safety is followed.

Organised by Rushden Town Council, the Soap Box Derby course is a test of both speed and control. The course commences on the tarmac path in the scenic Rushden Hall Park. It includes a downhill section, which then takes a right turn onto a downhill slope on a grass surface, leading to the finish line.

Mind is a mental health charity that works tirelessly to improve the lives of individuals experiencing mental health problems. They provide information, support, and advocacy, and campaign to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding mental health.

If you're inspired by the efforts of our MHE Apprentices and wish to contribute to Mind, you can sponsor their endeavour or donate directly to the charity, here.
